The tour begins at 06:45 at Plaza Regocijo near the Main Square.
Our first stop is Chinchero, about 45 minutes from Cusco. Here your guide will take you through Inca archaeological remains, a colonial church, and a traditional weaving demonstration by a local family, where you will learn how natural dyes and Andean weaving techniques are used.
We then head to Moray, known for its impressive circular agricultural terraces. You will learn how the Incas used these structures as an agricultural laboratory and have time to take photos and explore the site.
A short drive takes us to Maras, where you will visit the famous salt mines that are still in use today. Learn about the salt extraction process, admire the unique landscape, and stop at one of the small shops where we will have a demonstration of their products along with a salt and chocolate tasting with as many free samples as you like.
The next stop is the charming town of Urubamba where a typical Andean buffet lunch awaits us. This buffet offers options for all dietary needs.
After lunch we head to Ollantaytambo, known as the last living Inca town, where we explore the water temples, the Temple of the Sun, and the impressive terraces.
We finish in Ollantaytambo around 15:00. You may choose to end your tour here and take the train to Machu Picchu.
The final stop on our tour is the archaeological site of Pisac, where we can enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and the beautiful agricultural terraces.
After Pisac we begin our return drive to Cusco, arriving around 18:30–19:00.
